The Mental Health Association of Minnesota drives its mission to improve the lives of people with mental illness by providing a wealth of information on mental health topics, activities, legislation and happenings.

Additionaly we provide advocacy support, on-site presentations, newsletters and other resources to deliver useful information to interested parties and those in need of support.

Mental Health Advocacy

MHAM's Mental Health Advocacy Program is comprised of two categories: Individual Advocacy and Issues Advocacy.

  • The Individual Advocacy Program seeks to teach individuals with mental illnesses self-advocacy skills to access services and overcome barriers.
  • The Issues Advocacy Program is an extensive set of resources which address the activities of state and federal governemnt.
